Spring Break!

This week was spring break. I know, I know, it's crazy early in the year still a little chilly for such an event, but I will take a break any way I can get it frigid ass temperatures cold weather or not.

Many of my classmates set off to places that are warm to relax and forget about the hell that is the first year of medical school the stress of school.

I went off to this place:

3.1

Why YES, keen observer, that IS a hospital. I spent my break working. And I was excited about having a few days off too, but I ended up spending those at work as well. But don't feel sorry for me -- I was scheduled to have three days off. I am just a total sucker a glutton for punishment, so I spent some extra time in the land of babies.

I even tried not to complain about it. After all, I am awfully lucky to work there, because I have the most AMAZING coworkers. The shifts are sometimes long and the work is sometimes hard, but there isn't a group I would rather spend my time with.

I mean really, who wouldn't want to spend night after night after $%(*&$ night as much quality time with these girls as possible?

A Little Slice of Heaven

This is my bed. Which I exited early on Monday morning. And am now blissfully tucking myself into. On Wednesday night.

(Don't feel totally sorry for me, I took two 90 minute naps today)

But still - there is something so fantastic about crawling into bed and closing your eyes. Especially when you can sleep as late as you want the next morning.

Oh spring break, you are an aspect of school that NEVER gets old!

SOOC Saturday -- Snow Day!

The fantastic Melody has returned, and brought with her the return of SOOC Saturday! And since I have been up since the ass crack of dawn bright and early time of 5:30 am, I figure it's more than worth a study break to join in on the fun.

It has been a snowy winter here in the great midwest, much like the rest of the country. And while I get a little tired of all the snow coverage on TV -- because while we don't always get much, it does snow every year multiple times -- I do love how peaceful fresh snow is.

Because really -- doesn't everything look better under a soft blanket of fresh fallen snow?
