Best Shot Monday - Success!

Ever since Bennett's second birthday, I have been trying to find a time to take some frame-able shots of him for his 'annual' photo. And while I take a lot of pictures, I hadn't come up with anything I was totally in love with.

Most of the problem lies in the fact that Bennett is at that special age where, when asked to smile, he gives you any number of goofy faces. So the only way to get a quality shot was to have an extra adult on hand, so that there would be someone to tickle wrangle encourage an actual smile.

So last week Sarah (and of course Jacob and Ben) joined us for a lovely trip to the Arboretum, where I managed to get a couple of shots that I was really happy with. You seriously have to love good luck!

Tracey is still on vacation, so the lovely and talented Melody is hosting Best Shot Monday again this week -- be sure to check it out!

LOVE them all, and no fake smiles. Mia's been doing that a lot lately, too. As soon as the camera comes out...here come some of the oddest faces our child could make all in 'trying' to smile :)

Success indeed! They look great!

They are SO CUTE!! I love the first one. We had our son get his 1-year portrait taken this weekend and it was easier than I expected. But you'll hear more about that later on my blog.

Have a great week!

Thanks for commenting on the weird loading page. It's the browser. If you open my page in firefox it works or older versions of IE. The new template I loaded up doesn't seem to be compatible with newer browsers. *sigh* That's annoying because I like this one and am not sure how to fix it.

I can totally relate to having a hard time capturing a frameable picture. When W.W. suddenly decides to be cute and smile big for the camera his face is covered with chocolate. :)

Glad the arboretum trip produced some great shots!

Be still my thundering heart!!! Is he gorgeous or WHAT???

Want to start making plans for an arranged marriage?

Oh, wait...never mind. You probably wouldn't want a whiny, pouty, fussy, foot-stomping daughter in law.
