More Randomness

Everyone is doing the 16 Random Things meme...and I know I have done it before, but since my brain is currently feeling suspiciously like mush, I'm doing it again.

Because if there is one thing that doesn't require thinking, it's coming up with random things about me.

  • I am supposed to be studying right now. And I *really* don't want to.
  • Instead of studying (see above) I am watching The Bachelor. I seriously can't get enough of the crazies. Misaligned priorities, you say? Then clearly you haven't see the show.
  • Diet Coke used to be my favorite beverage. My new favorite? Dirty Martinis.
  • I took down my Christmas decorations two weeks ago. But they are still in the middle of the floor in the living room, all packed up and ready to go into storage. But the storage closet is outside, and it's been too cold for me to be motivated to get them out there.
  • I am crossing my fingers for a snow day tomorrow.
  • I am well aware that I will not have a snow day tomorrow.
  • I just made myself a cup of sleepy time tea. This assures that seconds after I finally relax and fall asleep, I will get called into work.
  • I have guilt issues. Example: I have a ton of TV shows on my DVR that I really don't watch anymore. But I still won't delete the season pass, because I feel bad that I don't watch/like/have time for the show anymore. I know, I know - how messed up is THAT?!
  • Next week I get to go to Cosmo and Manicure Night with some friends after I get done with class. I am HIGHLY excited about this.
  • I have decided that I don't really care for taking pictures in the winter...there just isn't much to shoot that is different. Which I find highly annoying.
  • One of my current favorite foods is potato skins from TGI Fridays. The frozen kind...I lack the ability to actually go out to a restaurant for a meal like a normal person...thank you, night shift.
  • I want to do one month of "favorite things" for my Project 365. This requires some significant planning...which probably explains why I haven't done it yet. But it sounds like a good idea, yes?
  • I love to cook. But I can't remember the last time that I made a meal in the kitchen. I think that it was sometime in the beginning of December.
  • I try not to complain about feeling busy, because everyone is busy. I know this. But some days it's still really hard not to complain.
  • I keep dreaming of a vacation. Italy sounds lovely. Anywhere sounds lovely. But I would settle for just being able to stay home and get a few things done around the house.
  • I can function quite well when able to sleep in 90 minute increments...ideally at least 2 90 minute periods in any given day.

4 AM

Natalie wanted to know what I looked like RIGHT NOW. And because she knows that I always follow directions that I love a good meme, she promptly tagged me. Thus exposing all of your poor, poor eyes to what I look like at 4:00 in the morning. Because apparently that is the time that I got up this morning.

Why get up at that god-forsaken early hour? I haven't the SLIGHTEST idea. But in any case, here I am. In all of my bleary-eyed, early morning glory.

4 AM

Oy. It's a good thing I have no shame, or I perhaps would have thought a bit harder about putting that out there for the world to see...

Now I do believe that I am supposed to do some tagging. So if your eyes aren't bleeding from the slight of me without make-up or a shower, then consider yourself tagged. And drop what you're doing to snap your own photo. Unless you are freshly showered or looking nice. Then feel free to wait to snap that photo until later.

In Review: 2008

Like a bazillion other bloggers, I have finished the year in review 2008 meme. Enjoy! And Happy New Year!

1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Got accepted to graduate school. And medical school. Satisfying stuff.

2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kept some of them, but not all of them. Every year I make a whole slew of resolutions, because then I figure I am bound to keep at least some of them. Fear of failure much? Why yes, thanks for asking.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Actually yes. In addition to lots of bloggers expanding their families, I have several other friends who added to their kidlet crew as well. And of course there is that whole work thing, and the seemingly bajillion births that I was present for.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, actually not.

5. What countries did you visit?
I have only been in the grand old USA this year. Unless you count when I went to the Lake of the Ozarks...that could probably be considered it's own country.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A graduate degree. More free time.

7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
The day I got my acceptance letter...in May...sometime... Perhaps the date wasn't etched in my mind quite as much as I thought.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Managing to survive. And I am not even kidding.

9. What was your biggest failure?
I would say that there isn't enough time to list these. Mostly that I really didn't keep in good shape. And that I wasn't more patient.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I ran a half marathon and got a body full of sore muscles from that, but no significant injuries.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
50 mm prime lens. And an education.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Um...my classmates'. Without them I most certainly wouldn't have survived the semester.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
This list could go on forever...I am easily appalled.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Tuition.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Photography. School. And dirty martinis.

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
I Kissed a Girl by Katie Perry. So What by Pink.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder?
b) thinner or fatter?
c) richer or poorer?

Happier. Fatter. And richer. And did I mention happier?

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Being more patient. Working out more.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Complaining. Stressing.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
In St. Louis with my family.

21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
I ended the year immensely satisfied with my life. And I am pretty sure that counts for a lot. And my life is full of love. And that counts for a lot too.

22. What was your favorite TV program?
Hi, have you met me? I could never pick just one TV program...I LOVE television.

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I wouldn't use the word hate. But there were people that I was close to at this time last year that I no longer speak to.

24. What was the best book you read?
Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. Amazing.

25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Jason Mraz. Not a new discovery, but a reminder of how much I like his music.

26. What did you want and get?
School acceptance. A new job. Happiness.

27. What did you want and not get?
More time.

28. What was your favorite film of this year?
I don't watch movies all that often. Although this year I did see Dark Knight, which I loved.

29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I have to say, this year perhaps broke my history of not so great birthdays. I turned 28, and celebrated with martinis, christmas lights and photo taking. And then decorating, dinner, and wine. And friends.

30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Ummm...I'm not sure. 2008 was pretty darn satisfying.

31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Lacking.

32. What kept you sane?
Blogging. With a side of denial.

33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Ummm. No idea. But I found Christian Bale as Batman to be quite yummy. Does that count?

34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election. Was there anything else?

35. Who did you miss?
The person I am when I'm not stressed out.

36. Who was the best new person you met?
My classmates. Some more than others, but as a whole group I have to say, I really lucked out.

37. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
That sometimes it's okay to say no.

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year

I've got nothing. I am the worst at song lyrics.

The 7 Things Meme

Kimberly tagged me for the 7 things meme, so here we go!

7 Things I can do:

1. I can multi-task well. Very well, if I do say so myself.
2. I can remember details in a way that people are ALWAYS surprised by.
3. I can start an IV in almost anyone.
4. I can speed read.
5. I can forgive but not forget.
6. I can cook a delicious meal.
7. I can shower and get ready to walk out the door in about 15 minutes.

7 Things I cannot do:

1. I can't bring myself to go to the dentist. I know, it's a stupid phobia. Stupid, but real.
2. I can't make everyone happy all the time. But that doesn't really stop me from trying.
3. I can't leave the house with my camera. Hey, you never know what you might want to take a picture of!
4. I can't eat pineapple. Thank you, severe allergy.
5. I can't fall asleep easily.
6. I can't get a tan.
7. I can't drink regular milk. Ick.

7 Things I say most often:

1. "I'm sorry", which is usually followed by "I know that hurts" and then me doing something that does, in fact, hurt.
2. "You can do it!" Also usually followed by either "A little harder!" or "A little more!"
3. "I don't mind" -- even if I do, I can't seem to keep myself from agreeing to do things anyway. This is a SERIOUS personality flaw.
4. "I love you" -- is there a more loving creature on earth than a toddler? I think not.
5. "Hi!" -- everyone deserves to be greeted with cheer...even when I don't really want to...
6. "Oh hell" -- not very nice, I will admit, but sometimes I get just a wee bit frustrated.
7. "You have GOT to be KIDDING me" -- funny enough, no one ever really is.

7 Celebrity Admirations:

I have decided that my list is the people that I like to look at and admire. Shallow you say? Yes, yes it is.

1. Hugh Jackman
2. Matt Damon
3. Eric Dane
4. Simon Baker
5. George Eads
6. Patrick Dempsey
7. Prince William

7 Favorite foods:

1. Chinese food
2. Seafood
3. Garlic Bread
4. Fresh baked cookies
5. Chili
6. Pasta -- I can't even pick one kind. (Hi, think I enjoy carbs much?)
7. Tacos

I won't tag 7 people, but I am nosy and I do love lists, so if you want to do your own 7 things meme then let me know -- I can't wait to read more!

Tag, I'm It: Dear Teenaged Self

Sarah tagged me for the six random things meme. I've done it before, but if there is one thing that I never run out of, it's randomness. So I'm going to do it again...with a twist. These six random things will be six things that I would tell my teenaged self.

1. That perfect life you have planned out? Don't be surprised when that's not the way things go. But don't worry, just because things don't go the way you think the should, they're still pretty darn cool.

2. You do actually have to be responsible when you're a grown up. And the whole 'being a grown up' thing? It's not always fun. It turns out that there is slightly more to it than just dong whatever you want all the time. Who knew?

3. You will not actually stay up all night just because you can when you're the grown up. At least not most of the time.

4. Life will be filled with things that change your perspective. The words forever and never should be used with the greatest of caution. There are actually a few grown ups I would like to see learn this lesson, now that you mention it.

5. Sometimes you should do things just for you. And it will usually make you feel guilty. But you should do it anyway -- the longer you don't, the harder it will be to start.

6. It hurts to grow up. And sometimes it hurts A LOT. But sometimes it's pretty great too.

I won't tag six people. but I am curious. What would you tell your teenaged self? Don't be shy...if you tell me, I will later tell you about how I was the ugliest child ever. And I seriously was the UGLIEST. CHILD. EVER. Just wait...you'll see...

20 Questions

Courtney answered 20 Questions about herself, and invited other people to do the same. And because I love to am practicing following directions, I joined right in! So here we go...

What is your superpower?

Knowing things. Partly just because I know, and partly due to my crazy real dreams.

Who are you most like in life?

I'm like me. Which I know is a total cop out, but it's true. I can't think of anyone else I'm really like. But I'm willing to take suggestions, if you care to vote.

Do people ever tell you you look like a celebrity?

Not too often, but when they do it's almost always "that girl from the stripper movie!". Funny, Elizabeth Berkley was in Saved By the Bell too, but no one ever mentions that. I really don't see the resemblence.

What are your views on weddings?

I don't think I really have any particular view on weddings. I think that they are generally lovely, and I hope special for those involved. But really, I can take them or leave them.

What was the last book you read?

Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult.

Who is your hero?

Anyone who has the guts to follow their dream.

What are five songs that would be on the soundtrack of your life?

I have no idea. But I can name 5 songs that I currently like, which I think is better than nothing.
1. Say, by John Mayer
2. Our Song, by Taylor Swift
3. Into the Night, by Santana
4. Funky Mama
5. Best Days, by Matt White

Have you ever been burned?

Yes. In every sense. Do you know anyone who hasn't been?

What is your worst habit?

That probably depends on who you ask. I think that one of my worst habits is probably stressing out about things in a major way. I really should learn to relax more. I relax about as well as I grow a second head....which is not to say not I don't do it very successfully.

What is the best lesson your parents taught you?

That they are proud of me and that they support me. They might not always understand what I do or be interested in it (they are not science or medicine people by any stretch of the imagination), but they have been very supportive anyway. The lesson? That loving someone doesn't always mean agreeing with them, but it means supporting them anyway.

What are three things that hang on your walls?

Pictures (TONS of pictures). An Irish Welcome sign. A dart board.

Who do you think will actually WIN the presidency? Will it be the right choice?

I honestly don't know who's going to win. Will it be the right choice? I don't know that either. But it will be the choice that the country will have to endure, so I sure hope that it ends up being a good choice.

Is your bed made right now?

Of course. My bed is always made. And yes, I know this is weird.

Where would you like to wake up in the morning if you could be anywhere?

I would just like to wake up and have it be morning, rather than wake up in the middle of the night. Which I tend to do.

Do you do anything creative?

I do things that I think are crafty, but I'm not sure I would consider myself creative. Or perhaps I would consider myself creative but not artistic.

What would you like to be doing in five years if there were no limits to who you could be?

Graduating from medical school.

Why Craigslist?

What about Craigslist exactly? I know what it is, but I have never used it for anything. But I know lots of people who have.

What is really the greatest thing about meeting someone new?

I'm not sure that you can ever know too many people, so the great thing about meeting someone new is that it's a whole new chance to really know someone. And everyone has things to teach, so it's another new chance to learn something and make yourself better.

If you didn’t have to work, would you?

I think a lot of this question depends on how you define work. If you define work as just not sitting at home and doing nothing, then of course I would work. Would I have a paying job? Maybe, maybe not. But I would certainly keep myself busy.

What are you doing to make less of an impact on the earth ?

I recycle, and I try not to be wasteful. I could be better about it, but I am trying.

Now, onto the important things...what are YOUR answers?

Middle Name Meme

I got tagged for the middle name meme by Brittany, so here we go. I am sure that your Friday will be much more complete once you know not only my middle name, but more random things about me.

So here are the rules for this MEME:

1) You must post these rules on your blog before you answer the questions.

2) You need to list one fact about yourself using each letter of your MIDDLE name. If you don’t have a middle name use your maiden name instead.

3) When you are finished with your answers, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name.

My Middle Name: Elizabeth

E: Every time I get stressed or nervous, I start fiddling with my fingers. I used to bite my nails (and don't anymore) but the habit of messing with my hands is still there. I tap them like crazy - which is a horribly annoying habit.

L: Lies are probably my biggest pet peeve ever. It makes me absolutely crazy when people lie. And although I am almost completely unable to tell a lie that anyone will believe, I almost always know when someone else is lying.

I: I wear sunscreen every day. In the spring/summer/fall when it's warm outside, I wear sunscreen in addition to the face lotion that has sunscreen in it. If I don't, I will burn. And even when I do, I have been known to get a bit crispy. To make my point, I got a sunburn on Tuesday. Apparently it's time to start slathering on the sunscreen again...

Z: Zoos. I love going to the zoo (although not the one here - I am less than impressed with it, to be honest). And I love taking pictures at the zoo. Shocking I know....you probably never would have guessed if I hadn't told you!

A: All of my movies are alphabetized. Shut up.

B: Baseball is one of my very favorite sports to watch. Go Cardinals!

E: Early. I am early to everything almost everything, because I can't stand to be late. But I know that sometimes being early is just as annoying as being late.

T: Tivo. I adore my tivo. If it weren't for that delightful little box, I would never get to see anything!

H: House. House the TV show - which I am obsessed with. I just discovered it recently, and am thrilled that I can see all of the previous episodes mailed to my house courtesy of Blockbuster. And Courtney also pointed out to me that it plays on the weekends on USA and FOX, which means that there is even more for me to see....hooray! That's right, I'm cheering for reruns of a TV show. I really am THAT easy to please.

So, here's where I break the rules. I am supposed to tag 9 people. That seems like a lot. And it's Friday, so my brain (which has been functioning at fractional capacity) is now on the verge of total shut down. So there will be no tagging. But if you are anxious to share your middle name with the internet, then please let me know! I am always up for finding out more random information about people. Like which is longer - your big toe or the one next to it?

Tag, You're It!

Semidesperate Housewife tagged me for the '7 random/weird things' meme.

# Link to the person who tagged you
# Post the rules on your blog.
# Share seven random and/or weird facts about yourself on your blog.
# Tag seven random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
# Leave a comment on their blogs so that they know they have been tagged.

1. I don't like chocolate. Please don't hate me. I will eat it, so I don't dislike it, I just don't prefer it. Unless it's combined with peanut butter - I LOVE peanut butter. But I know that not loving chocolate is weird.

2. I also don't like coffee...or anything coffee flavored. Coffee = ick.

3. The beach is not my preferred place to vacation. I have fair skin and I think sand is messy, so while I will go, it is not my favorite place.

4. I can't stand naked toes, and my toenails are ALWAYS painted. However because I can't stand to have chipped polish, my fingernails are rarely painted.

5. I love the snow but I despise being cold. It has also never bothered me to drive in the snow.

6. I find potty training to be one of the most patience-testing experiences on earth. I am amazed on a nearly daily basis that anyone bothered inventing it in the first place.

7. My favorite color is red.

I have to think abut who to tag, so let the fascinating facts of me sink in and I'll let you know if you're 'it'.

Happy Friday! Let's all hope it's better than last Friday...

Book Meme

Brittany and Christina both (somewhat indirectly) have tagged me for the book meme.

Rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people

"In addition, the double helix is stabilized by the hydrophobic effect: base stacking, or hydrophobic interactions between the bases, results in the exposure of themore polar surfaces to the surrounding water. This arrangement is reminiscent of protein folding, where hydrophobic amino acids are interior in the protein and hydrophili are exterior. Base stacking in DNA is also favored by the conformations of the relatively rigid five-membered rings of the backbone sugars; the sugar rigidity affects both the single-stranded and the double-helical forms."

Clearly, the closest book to me is not very exciting, although I suppose that it does get points for being educational.

The other book that is only slightly farther away has somewhat less painful more traditional results:

"It's a mistake," he told her. "Whatever they say I done, they're wrong, Clare. They're dead wrong." Soon there would be questions, plenty of questions.

The book? The Bright Forever, by Lee Martin. I haven't started reading it yet, but it looks pretty good - I'll let you know!

I am tempted to follow the lead of the people who tagged me and just tag the first five people who read this. But since I did two books, I tag the first five people to read this AND the following lucky five - because I am curious to know what they're reading...

1. Niobe
2. jodifur
3. Lara
4. Brandy
5. Shalee

What are you reading?

Things I could have said...

Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more
difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting
moment.
Ben Franklin

Ben Franklin said it well, but Swistle might have said it better. There are always things that you would really like to say to people, but for the sake of manners whatever reason, sometimes you don't. But the beauty of blogging, among other things, is that it is the perfect opportunity for those things that were left unsaid. The key is to not give a lot of background - just to say it and move on. So here we go...

1. I didn't make a mistake, and I don't regret it. But I am sorry.

2. You're the most selfish person I know. I thought that maybe that would change. But I've given up. And that makes me sad.

3. I am totally crazy about you.

4. I think that you are one of the craziest people I know. I know you can't help it, but that doesn't keep me from wanting to reach out and slap you sometimes.

5. I seriously have no idea how we ended up a part of the same family.

6. You have terrible taste.

7. I think that your marraige is a mistake. A huge mistake.

8. What you are doing is wrong. And you know it. And it makes me think less of you, because I thought that you were better than that.

9. You are not nearly as smart as you think you are.

10. I'm not really sure how we grew apart, but I think it might have been my fault. And I'm sorry about that - I should have tried harder.

What do you have to say?

I don't get...

niobe has a new meme that she was tagged for, a list of ten things that you just don't get. She, in turn, has tagged everyone who read her list, which puts me amongst the masses. But because I had a friend in high school who was constantly repeating the phrase "I don't get it..." about so many things, the very title makes me smile and think of her.

So here are my ten things:

I don't get...

1. soap operas.

2. people who are selfish. Everyone has their moments, but there are some people who are constantly selfish...and I just don't get it.

3. meteorologists. They have to have one of the easier jobs - they guess at the weather, then when they're wrong everyone just sort of shrugs and says "looks like the weather report was wrong again. oh well". What exactly do these people learn in school anyway?

4. how my parents always had a HUGE box of unmatched socks in the laundry room. In all the years that I have been doing laundry, I'm pretty sure I have always had pairs of socks. Where did all of their lost socks go?

5. why people have the need to touch my hair. It is curly and it is red. However it is attached to my head, and yes, it hurts when you tug on it to see if it 'bounces'. Just ask - I will tell you that it does.

6. religious zealots.

7. clutter. I know that some people are just 'compelled' to keep things...but I still don't get it.

8. celebrity obsessions.

9. Jerry Springer. Seriously, what is the appeal there?

10. how anyone in the year 2008 can still not know how to use a computer. Or have an email address.

And because niobe is cool and I aspire to be cool like her (and also because I am lazy and need to finish some homework before naptime is over), I also tag all the people who read this. Be sure to let me know when you post your list - I want to know what you don't get!

Meme Madness

Someone sent this to me a long while ago, but it's not too unusual for me to average two weeks to return something (oops!). But here it is - my four things meme:

Four jobs I have had in my life:
1 OB RN
2. Student
3. Nanny
4. Little Gym Instructor/Director

Four places I have lived:
1. Overland Park, KS
2. Kansas City, MO
3. St. Louis, MO
4. Arnold, MO

Four places I have been on Vacation:
1. Rivera Maya, Mexico
2. Chicago, IL
3. San Diego, CA
4. Las Vegas, NV

Four of my favorite foods:
1. Italian
2. Mexican
3. Peanut Butter
4. Sweets
*I realize that this is more like 400 foods than four foods, but I was having trouble narrowing it down*

Four places I would rather be right now:
1. Out to breakfast - I'm hungry.
2. In an already clean house (instead of the one waiting for me to do the cleaning)
3. Shopping!
4. Ummmm - I don't know that I would rather be, but I probably should be at the gym right now...

And there was also the 'tag four people' portion, but I got rid of that...if you want to play, then join in and consider yourself tagged!

Tag! You're It!

I have no idea where I initially got this. But who doesn't love a good meme every once and a while?!

1. You wake up in the morning. What time is it probably?
5:00 AM. I consider this somewhat of an illness.

2. You get yourself some breakfast. What do you make?
Am I making something for the kids too, or just me? If it's just me, I will have a Diet Coke and probably leftovers - Chinese leftovers are my favorite (weird I know). If I'm making something for the kids, probably pancakes or eggs. Or cereal if it's starting out as one of those days...

3. Someone calls you on the phone. Who do you want it to be?
Anyone that I like I would be more than happy to talk to. I'm easy to please.

4. You turn on the TV for a bit. What channel do you put it on?
In the morning I always have on the news. Because I'm nerdy like that. If it isn't the morning and I am actually going to (gasp!) sit down and watch something I will catch up on the umpteen things I have on Tivo.

5. You have some time to kill before you leave. What do you do?
I catch up on my email or blog reading.

6. You go and have a shower. How long does it take you?
That depends - am I in a hurry? I can take a 5 minute shower if I'm pressed for time. If I'm not rushing, it's usually closer to 10 - 15 minutes.

7. You decide to get yourself ready for your day. How long does it take?
Again, am I in a hurry? If I need to, I can be ready to walk out the door in 10 minutes. But if I'm not in a hurry, it's usually closer to 30.

8. You put on some makeup. What do you put on?
I wear MAC makeup. And I love it.

9. You’re ready to leave. What do you take out with you?
Depends on where I'm going! But on a normal morning I have my purse, a Diet Coke, the diaper bag, my gym back, and my backpack with whatever I am (hoping) to get accomplished.

10. How long does it take you to get to work?
About 15 minutes.

11. What is the first thing you do when you get to work?
Kiss the boys.

12. Do you take part in office gossip/water cooler talk?
Well Garrett is the only one who can talk, but he's not quite old enough to understand gossip. And Bennett doesn't talk yet, so he's out too. Which is too bad, I adore gossip.

13. Anything particularly annoying about each work day?
Some days are better than others, but nothing particularly annoying about each and every day.

14. What’s the best part of the day?
There are lots of great parts of the day. But the napping hours are among my favorite, for obvious reasons!

15. Do you usually leave on time or stay late?
I think I leave late almost every day!

16. The boss calls to tell you that don’t have to work, and you’re free for a whole day. What do you do?
While I would want to do a million things, I would probably study. Because I'm nerdy like that.

17. With whom would you want to spend the day?
Oh there are tons of people I would want to spend the day with. But at the moment I am a bit cranky, and I think that spending a day on my own sounds like a lovely little treat.

18. You go to the store to get some snackage, but it turns out you can only buy one thing there. What do you buy?
Diet Coke. I absolutely can't live without it.

19. You’re walking down the street and you find a magic lamp that grants you 3 wishes. What do you wish for?
Endless money (because who wouldn't want that!), an acceptance letter to medical school, and the ability to freeze time (like Evie did on Out of This World -- please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers this show!).

20. You meet a man who says he will give you your dream job, what is it?
A physician.

21. You can choose any concert of any singer/band in the world; whose do you go to?
Gosh, I don't know. I like a lot of different things, and I don't know that I have an absolute favorite.

22. You get home and there’s a check for $50,000 in the mail for you. On what would you spend it?
Probably put it in the bank. Because I'm nerdy like that. But I might go on a little bit of a shopping spree. And I'd get a pedicure.

23. You get to bring back anyone from the dead, famous or not. Who would it be?
My grandmother.

24. You get to interview your favorite celebrity. Who is it, and what would you ask him/her?
Again, I don't know that I have one absolute favorite. But my current obsession is Matt Damon, because he is yummy. But I wouldn't be able to ask him anything, I would be too busy concentrating on not drooling.

25. You get to see into the future but you can only find out one thing about your future life. What would you want to find out?
If I'll get into medical school. And maybe some other stuff...

26. At the end of your perfect day, you go on a perfect date; describe it.
A dinner that I don't have to cook and wine. And I won't have to keep reminding whoever I'm with not to throw things on the floor. I'm very easy to please!

I won't tag anyone, but come on -- you know that you all want to join in the fun!
