Today was a particularly patience-testing morning. It all started out well, but after repeating myself a million and one times, I was starting to get a bit frustrated. And I have a feeling that both boys were getting tired of hearing my say the same things over. And over. AND OVER.
And then lunch was finished and nap time - sweet, beautiful nap time - was here. And as we all prepared to head upstairs, Garrett gave me the biggest possible hug. And then said, "Do you know what love is? It's when you hug someone and squeeze them so tight, because they make your heart so full. And when you squeeze them, they can feel your heart love them."
And you know what?
That's exactly what love is.

Your boys are such "boys" all American boys... I love looking at their pics.... they're so cute.
How is it they seem to know what to say, just at the right time?! Adam does that to me, too. It's wonderful. It makes those hard moments seem not so bad.
Hope tomorrow is better for you!!!
damn, that is awesome.
wow! i can't imagine anything sweeter!
That is the sweetest thing. Thanks for sharing it with us!
That is quite possibly the cutest thing I think I've ever heard! What a quote!
On a side note...Thanks for adding laughter to my day today! I'm glad we are friends! Maybe we can race again another day! :-)
and that is what keeps them alive on days like this!
How do they always know when they are just on the edge...about to get pushed off - and they turn around and save themselves with something amazing like that?
He is the sweetest.
Wow, that's one for the books!
I'm MELTING here. So sweet. They really do have a knack for knowing just when we're most frustrated, and delivering a sweet, perfect moment that reminds us why we do this!
Oh my goodness, that is so sweet!
OMG! That makes me melt!
