Wordless Wednesday: Dirty Feet!

Dirty Feet!

For more Wordless Wednesday, check out here and here!

And in the non-wordless portion of Wednesday, I need a few volunteers to help me with my homework. I need you to answer the question: What is happiness/what does it mean to be happy? If you are so inclined to assist me (which I would greatly appreciate) you can leave your answer in the comments, or email me at andtheducksaid at gmail dot com Thanks!

Love the shot!

To me, happiness is wanting to be exactly where I am at a particular moment...and savoring the experience - good, bad, or otherwise. Hope that helps! :)

I love the photo!

Happiness to me is knowing that I'm surrounded by people I love, and who love me - even if by "surrounded" I mean they are only a phone call away. It doesn't matter what else is going on in my life, as long as I know I'm cared about I'm happy.

Oh yeah! I love the dirty feet!

Wow...what a homework assignment - that is serious!

I think I am happiest when I know I am being the absolute best "me" that I can be. Whether it is the best mom, the best wife, the best daughter, the best worker...whatever it is, when I know I am "on" in these roles, I am happy. Out of all of those roles, I think the "mom" role is the most fulfilling. When the girls are happy, I am so very happy too!

Happiness is a moment of quiet in my heart. I feel warmth and a glow around me. It can happen anywhere.

I was talking with a friend at the park and felt it. I did not want to be anywhere else. The weather was beautiful, kids were playing, good conversation.

Hope that helps......

Ooh, dirty feet are fun!

I may be way too late to help with your homework, but here's my reply nonetheless.

For me, true happiness comes from being completely absent from worry. So often in life we're at a good place, but let worry about small and trivial things pull us down. Happiness is something that always exists, we just have to let go of all the little cares of this life that hold us back from it.

Happiness for me are those brief moments we all experience where you feel, just for a quick second, that you're exactly where you're meant to be - even if it's a place you don't necessarily love. To me those times feel like fleeting glimpses of my soul connecting with the whole of all of us, and I can almost catch a glimpse of some greater, divine plan out of the corner of my eye. And then it's gone again, until the next opportunity arises.
