All good things must come to an end...and so it goes with Best Shot Monday. Tracey has said this is the last one, and I wouldn't dream of missing it!
You can no longer tell people how old you are with just one hand. You are learning to read. You can write your name. You can play soccer. You have turned from a baby to a toddler to a preschooler to a grade schooler.
Well looky here...it appears that I haven't, in fact, fallen into a black hole... And not only did I remember that I have a blog, I also remembered that I have a camera! That I love! And that is much more fun to use than just to look at!
Now that Mother's Day has come and gone, I can put this up...although I don't know why I waited, since my mother doesn't really know what a blog is, let alone that I have one...
The well baby nursery is attached to the labor desk at work, so we can see into the nursery while we sit and chart, etc.
We can also hear the nursery. And while new people might be small, when they are pissed off they can sure let you know it. LOUDLY. Well, loudly compared to the sleeping ones anyway. So when the natives are restless children are expressing their opinions, we try to help the nursery out and hold the fussy ones while we chart.
Holding babies is also an excellent way to warm yourself up when it's freezing.
And sometimes we like to play games with the babies. Our favorites are "what should your name be?" (we don't usually know what they are really named, everything just says Baby ______) and "what are you going to be when you grow up?"
We thought this little guy looked awfully smart, so we thought we'd get him used to doctor clothes right away....

Sometimes there is nothing like finding some photos you had forgotten all about to brighten up your Monday...
I know that I was just on vacation, but with as hectic as normal life is (and it always is, isn't it?), a return to vacation sounds awfully good to me...
Two of the girls that I work with just had babies. Each of them have other children, but this time they both had girls! Before now, it was all boys at their houses.
Since this wasn't their first go around, they didn't have a 'traditional' shower. But we still wanted to get together and celebrate these lovely girls -- we spend all our time at work welcoming other people's babies, so it was such a joy to celebrate two little additions to some of our own.
