yep, i think i like #1 better too - the flare is a little more prominent and you can see the clouds really well!

I guess I'm the odd ball out on this one because I just love that second one! Both are great!
By looking at the comments I see I'm going to be the oddball. I like the second shot. The flare doesn't take up the entire picture and brings emphasis to the branch and the clouds in the background. They're both great though. :)
I dont think I can choose a favorite out of the two either! They atre both great in a different ways. Dont you hate/love it when that happens? :)
well, i like the flair in the first and it's a more typical composition, i think. but i really like the lines of the branch in the second one, and the star-like flair. tough, but i think i'm going for the second one! :)

I have a question, though...is this bad for your camera? My husband (who knows nothing about photography) swears that it's bad for the sensors.
I like the first one best. They are both great, something about the closeness of the first one appeals to me more.
I have yet to try and capture flare, I need to get on the ball.
